With few exceptions, life in yelapa Pueblo, is the same as more than a hundred years ago. Tranquility can be easily found, with almost no car access in town. Yelapa is filled to the brim with Nature. The Bay of Banderas as you may know is Mexico's largest Bay and is the second largest in North America. It is the home to practically every specie of marine life. One exception is sharks. It is considered on the deepest Bays in the World with recorded depths of more than two miles and many depths that are uncharted, to this day.

The Mountains and Jungles offer a massive range of tropical flowering plants, herbs, fruit and trees, truly a nature lover’s delight. Animal life is abundant.

Hotel Lagunita, Yelapa has have been based in tourism for three generations and genuinely kind, proud and amazing people. Even Cortes in 1524 was taken with the locals. The natives pleaded with Cortes to retract his army from their lands, stating that they were not a war-like people, and that they had wished only for peaceful relations. Cortez was wooed and returned and built a wonderful church for them, that still is located in our Municipal, El Tuito México. Times haven't changed much, the Yelapense will woo you too!

All this and more!... Not to mention, our proximity to Puerto Vallarta ( 45 minutes away by water taxi) is a huge plus. I wouldn't live there but for a port, it's fantastic!
